What is the Breathe Wear® Halo® Chin Strap?
The Breathe Wear® Halo® Chin Strap is a reusable chin strap designed to help keep the mouth closed during sleep. Its adjustable design features a flexible chin support and a one-piece halo worn over the crown of the head for a comfortable, secure fit.
Can I use the Breathe Wear® Halo® Chin Strap with my CPAP equipment?
Yes. The Breathe Wear® Halo® Chin Strap is designed to be worn along with CPAP headgear when additional support is needed to help keep the mouth closed during sleep therapy. Because CPAP masks and headgear vary, you may need to experiment with positioning and adjustment to find the most comfortable fit.
Will the Breathe Wear® Halo® Chin Strap fit me?
The Breathe Wear® Halo® Chin Strap is adjustable and accommodates a wide range of head sizes. It fits a maximum circumference of approximately 26 inches when measured from the chin to the crown of the head.
What if I need a larger or more adjustable chin strap?
Consider our Breathe Wear® Cross Bar Chin Strap. Its three-piece design offers additional adjustability and accommodates a maximum circumference of approximately 29 inches from the chin to the crown of the head.
What is the difference between the Halo® Chin Strap and the Cross Bar Chin Strap?
Both Breathe Wear® chin straps are reusable and designed to help keep the mouth closed during sleep. The Halo® Chin Strap features a simple one-piece halo design, while the Cross Bar Chin Strap has a three-piece design that provides additional adjustment around the back of the head. The Cross Bar Chin Strap also accommodates a larger maximum head circumference.
How do I put on and adjust my Breathe Wear® chin strap?
Position the chin support comfortably beneath your chin and place the head support over the crown of your head. Adjust the hook-and-loop closures until the chin strap feels secure but comfortable. The strap should provide support without feeling excessively tight.
How tight should my chin strap be?
Your Breathe Wear® chin strap should be snug enough to provide gentle support while remaining comfortable throughout the night. It should not feel painfully tight or restrict normal breathing. Adjust the straps as needed to find the fit that works best for you.
How do I clean my Breathe Wear® product?
Hand washing with a gentle non-antibacterial soap is all that is required to care for all Breathe Wear® products. Lay flat until completely dry. Regular cleaning helps keep your chin strap fresh and comfortable for continued use.
How often should I replace my Breathe Wear® chin strap?
Replacement frequency varies depending on how often the product is used, cleaned, and adjusted. Consider replacing your chin strap when the material, elastic, or hook-and-loop closures show significant wear or when the product no longer provides the fit and support you need.
